Awesome ride today. I want to try to stress how big of a deal this ride was to me. Typically I throw my bike into/onto a vehicle to get down into and back out of the valley. Today I rode up the hill from the valley back to my house. That was a huge deal for me. It is not nearly L'Alpe D'Huez (roughly 8.5 miles, 3650 vertical feet) but our little hill (roughly 3/4 mile, 350 vertical feet) has been a huge psychological barrier for me.
